Sarah & Michael | A Horton Grange Summer Wedding

Picture a traditional yet contemporary private country house sat in the Northumberland landscape, dressed in warm golden sunshine, filled with the hum of happy Wedding guests. Well that’s exactly what this Wedding day was.

Sarah described herself to me as someone who never really saw herself as a ‘Bride’, but goodness me did she look phenomenal as one! I adored her dress and the way she chose everything in her look to perfectly match the venue. And Michael looked great too! What a beautiful couple inside and out.

It was absolutely glorious weather and we definitely made the most of that with the outdoor space at Horton Grange, I adored the dappled light through the trees and made sure to get some portraits using it. We made use of the quiet outdoor space whilst their guests finished off their meals, it was the perfect opportunity to use the venue in the images and make the most of that lovely low light.

I loved photographing this day, and the feedback I had from Sarah & Michael was so touching. I will pop it below as well as some images from the day.

‘‘How do I begin? I was never a ‘bride’. I had no idea what I was doing with any part of it but I did know, when I saw Laura’s portfolio, that she was the photographer for us. Laura completely captured the day as I remembered it - and it’s hard to remember because it goes so fast. There are funny ones, beautiful ones, real ones, stunning ones, real ones. Everything you could want from the day really. The box they were delivered in, the large print, the care, the honesty. All of it we appreciated so much. She was like an old friend of mine. She went over and above and literally stepped in in moments only a friend could. Laura deserves all the success in the world. Thank you for capturing memories of our wedding in the most wonderful way. Thank you! Xxx’’
