Leanne & John | Chester DIY Wedding | North East Wedding Photographer

So this was a really special one.

Leanne is a long time friend of mine and I was invited to her Wedding where she was marrying the lovely John. they are two of the sweetest humans you could meet and it was wonderful to be a part of their Wedding day.

Leanne’s goal was to keep costs down and take on as much of the Wedding planning and arranging as possible. Leanne is a very gifted embroiderer and has a passion for fabrics. We worked together many moons ago, she was a magazine editor and took me on as a photographer. I was always in awe of her talent for creative direction and her vision for shoots. I could tell she took time and care to make sure details were perfect, and when it came to her Wedding she was no different.

They didn’t spend any money on a photographer so I brought my camera along with me and made sure to capture some of the precious details along with some important moments, without stepping on anyones toes or interfering with the day itself. I couldn’t bare the thought of her having no ‘professional’ photos when I was a guest.

They married at the ever so pretty Chester town hall, and we then made our way in the pouring rain to the river and took a boat along to the sweetest little village hall nestled in the riverside. Here we ate delicious food, listened to some heartfelt speeches, ate from an incredible home made dessert table and chatted the night away.

It was truly a Wedding that represented John and Leanne ❤️
