Sophie & Anthony - A Wylam Brewery Wedding

An autumnal Wedding at Wylam Brewery, Newcastle.

There’s no hiding the fact that Wylam Brewery is one of my favourite Wedding venues here in the north east. As a north east wedding photographer with over 10 years of experience in the field I have seen my fair share of Wedding venues, but nothing quite matches the character and warmth of this place.

My top reasons to choose Wylam Brewery for your Wedding venue:

  • It’s a venue that suits every season with great indoor and outdoor space.

  • It’s got great views of Newcastle city.

  • It’s a city centre location, meaning it’s easy to get to and there’s plenty of hotels and vendors around you.

  • It’s quite the blank canvas, so you can run with any theme in there.

  • It photographs so well. The’ve really thought about the colours and the lighting inside.

  • The party space is huge and looks incredible at night! It’s even got a stage for bands etc.

  • There are loads of nods to the fact that it is a brewery, you can even pop in to the brewery for some fun photos!

  • It comes with a photo booth! Everyone loves a photo booth.

I was thrilled to bits when Sophie & Anthony picked me as their Wedding photographer for Wylam Brewery. As soon as I met them I could tell we’d be a great fit and I could really see them rocking Wylam Brewery, it was very much their vibe. Safe to say I was not disappointed on the day!

Sophie and Anth had a gorgeous warm colour palette to the day which suited the time of year. The bridesmaids wore a lovely deep orangey brown dress and the bouquets had a rich toffee and cream theme. Shout out to Wild In Tyne for those! I was obsessed!

The day fully reflected their personalities from after-ceremony pints, ice-cream reception snacks & walking in to their Wedding breakfast to Local Hero (Anth being a huge Newcastle fan!). And side note, I absolutely LIVE for this stuff. I get such a buzz from couples doing exactly what they want on what is likely going to be the best day of their lives. It’s what it’s all about!

Sophie & Anth were absolute gems on the day and never shied away from any of the photo suggestions I made to them. As a result I think we got some pretty lovely portraits of the two of them both outside and inside this amazing venue.

If you’re getting married at Wylam Brewery I hope these photos give you an idea of how it could all look on the day. And if you really love the photos then I’d love to photograph your Wedding. Get in touch with me via the contact page for a chat!
