A Winter Wedding at a cosy and remote Wedding venue in the North East.
Now and then you meet a couple that are so gorgeous together both in personalities and looks, and Ailsa & Scott were just that. They’d been together a long time and decided to get married at the wonderful The Parlour at Blagdon here in Newcastle. They chose a winter Wedding and married in February.
The Parlour at Blagdon is a beautiful local venue to me. I love the shabby chic style that it has, and I love how intimate and remote the venue feels. There’s lots of different buildings to host your Wedding, but it doesn’t feel big. I’d say it’s perfect for small to mid-size Weddings. And particularly lovely for micro Weddings.
Bridal prep happened at Ailsa’s home with her 8 bridesmaids and mum, and then they made their way to the venue for Ailsa to get dressed. They spent the morning sipping bubbly, getting glam and giggling away together. It was the perfect girls gathering! I was genuinely in awe at how stunning Ailsa looked when she was ready. She looked outstanding!
With a Winter Wedding you can be left short with the natural light outside. I think you’re safe until about 3pm and then you have to work indoors or with flash. We managed to get the confetti, group shots and some portraits done in time which I was really pleased about, and then later on in the evening we went out to do a champagne spray shot. This turned out SO well and I was in love with the results! I think it’s the perfect way to end the gallery.
If you’re looking for a cosy and remote venue in the north east which isn’t too far from the city centre then I’d highly recommend The Parlour at Blagdon.
