A casual, informal and relaxed Wedding in Tynemouth.
Anna & Sam met me at a family Wedding previous to theirs. It’s so so lovely when you find out a couple have decided to book you based on how they saw you work previously!
They planned to have a small and informal Wedding at North Tyneside Register Office with their closest friends and family and then move on to Tynemouth Cricket Club for a party. We had the weather to be outdoors and they hired Scream for Pizza for food (my fave!), and everyone drank and danced the day away!
Anna & Sam weren’t overly bothered about set photos, they wanted the relaxed atmosphere of the day reflected in their photos. I still wanted to make sure to get some lovely portraits of them both because I believe every couple deserves photos that reflect them on their Wedding Day. We utilised our locations and got a few photos on the balcony at the register office as well as some more fun night time photos at the cricket club. I even persuaded them to get in the car and pop to the coast for 10 minutes despite the windy cold weather, and these photos are some of my all time favourite!
I’ll always say it, the smaller more casual Weddings are my absolute favourite. I feel like everyone is so much more relaxed and able to enjoy themselves, Bride and Groom included. Maybe it’s because there isn’t an overwhelming schedule? Maybe it’s because the venue isn’t traditional? Maybe it’s because there is just less pressure? I don’t know why, but I really enjoy photographing them.
