Lydia & Chris | A Newcastle city centre Wedding | The Biscuit Factory

When Lydia & Chris got in touch with me about photographing their wedding at The Biscuit Factory in Newcastle I was so excited! It’s a venue that’s been on my list for a while. I love the city location and the modern yet simple design of the gallery itself. It’s so different to your countryside venues, and I knew it would make lovely photos.

Lydia & Chris had been together since they were young. They have two gorgeous daughters and a beautiful home already, and they decided to marry last September. They decided to get married at 4pm and have a shorter day as they didn’t want loads of fuss or formality. Lydia got ready at home in Morpeth and then made her way to The Biscuit Factory with her dad.

The ceremony and drinks reception took place in the gallery itself and we then moved to the Artisan restaurant for speeches, food and dancing. Lydia & Chris didn’t want to spend loads of time having portraits so we grabbed 15 minutes at the end of their drinks reception to walk around the gallery together and grab some photos. I love using the art in my own images!

Some reasons to consider The Biscuit Factory Newcastle as your Wedding venue:

  • A great location just outside of the city centre meaning it’s easy to get to and there’s plenty of places to stay in close proximity.

  • Step outside and you’re in Ouseburn, a very cool and unique part of Newcastle crammed with interesting nooks for photos!

  • The interior is contemporary yet very chic and interesting. People will certainly remember it.

  • The food is absolutely delicious!

  • It’s a venue that works come rain or shine.
