Newton Hall, Northumberland.
If you’re looking for a bold, dramatic venue surrounded by immaculate grounds and countryside with a beach 5 minutes down the road then look no further than Newton Hall. This impressive venue stands out to me as one of the most striking places to get married in the north east.
Here are my top reasons as a Wedding photographer why Newton Hall is a fantastic venue choice:
The first impression you get with Newton Hall really stands out to me. As you make your way down the drive the building itself is strikingly framed by trees and makes such a great first impression.
The building boasts incredible grounds which make for perfect photos as well as giving you the opportunity to get married outside.
Inside the property there are several spots for guests to settle in which are all beautifully and boldly decorated. Also means you’ve got lots of options for photos if it does rain on your day.
The indoor ceremony space is really cosy and romantic.
The Bridal suite is roomy and bright with the perfect spot to hang your dress (just think of the photos!).
If you’re feeling up to it you can pop along to the beach for some portraits or a sunset if you’re lucky!
It feels very secluded and private when you’re there.
I’ve photographed everything from small Weddings to larger Weddings here at Newton Hall and the venue didn’t feel too big or too small on either occasion. As someone who sometimes loves to shoot in a little bit of a moody/darker style I’d say you can really lean in to this style at Newton Hall. The rich colours and lovely window light mean you get the shadows with the pops of light which look so beautiful both to the eye and on camera.
