This Healey Barn wedding is one I’ll never forget—and one I’ll never tire of revisiting. As a wedding photographer in the North East of England, I get to work at some incredible venues, but Healey Barn truly stands out as a favourite. Its rustic charm, stunning location, soft natural light, and delicious food make it one of the best wedding venues in the region.

I was thrilled when Kelly and Andrew asked me to be their wedding photographer at Healey Barn for their 2024 celebration. They’re exactly the kind of couple I love to work with—deeply in love, full of joy, and passionate about capturing genuine moments. They weren’t interested in posing all day; they simply wanted their story told, with all the emotion, laughter, and connection that came with it.

After a beautiful ceremony inside Healey Barn, guests enjoyed drinks and mingling in the sunshine. We captured relaxed group shots and a joyful confetti moment before heading into the nearby woodland for some timeless portraits of the newlyweds. The countryside backdrop was the perfect setting for their heartfelt speeches, followed by an incredible all-vegan meal.

As a Newcastle wedding photographer, I’ve seen many great sunsets, but this one—glowing over the fields of Healey Barn—was truly special. And the ceilidh dancing that followed was the perfect way to end such a magical day.
