A Winter Treehouses at Ramside Hall Wedding | Durham Wedding Photographer
Here in the North East we are blessed with an abundance of beautiful wedding venues. We have stretches of coast line, lengths of countryside and a very cool city scene, all of which have wedding venues to accommodate all kinds of weddings.
Chloe and Daniel chose to have an intimate wedding with their closest friends and family before heading off on the honeymoon of their dreams. The Dove Treehouse at Ramside Hall offers a beautiful and unique space for an intimate wedding. Nestled amongst the tree it feels secluded and private, away from the busy of the main building. The interiors are cosy and styliish, with heaps of window light pouring in. Perfect for your photos!
Chloe and Daniel got ready in two separate A-frame treehouses before marrying at The Dove treehouse. I went between the two spaces to capture a little bit of their mornings, and I loved working with the contrasting shadow and light. Chloe looked so beautiful in her detailed dress and I loved that her bouquet matched so well. Daniel looked super smart, I think a bow tie always does the job for a wedding!
The ceremony took place whilst the wind and rain howled outside, but in that moment none of that mattered. The beautiful window light washed over them and their guests as they exchanged vows and said ‘I do’.
Thankfully the weather looked a bit better for the drinks reception and guests enjoyed a drink on the balcony whilst being entertained by a magician. We got some group shots done before we headed for a wander around the treehouses together for some photos of the two of them. As mentioned it was a bit breezy, but thankfully that worked in our favour to capture that wonderful veil in the wind photo! We leaned in to the moody day and I love the photos we got.
The room had quickly been turned around and now looked stunning for their meal. A quick couple of speeches happened before the delicious food was delivered. I captured some lovely candid moments with guests and then it was time for me to head off and let them enjoy the rest of the day.
