There is something about a black tie wedding that scratches an itch in my brain. It is sophisticated, understated and so timeless. I love the minimal colour palette and the simple details, it’s just so chic! And I think Dalton Old Pump House is the perfect setting for a black tie wedding.
There is a glamour about this venue that you can’t find elsewhere, it’s probably the tens of chandeliers you can find throughout the place and the insane ballroom space. Or maybe it’s getting married in an actual engine room? It’s fabulous all round, and in any weather.
The last time I was here it was during a storm, and this time was no different. It poured all day long. But as previously mentioned, it doesn’t matter here. There are so many gorgeous opportunities for photos inside with impressive backdrops and stunning window light.
Steph got in touch to check my availability for her black tie wedding she was planning At Dalton. She opted for a half day package where I would be with them for 5 hours. This was plenty of time to capture some getting ready, the ceremony and their drinks reception. Speeches were done before food, so I could capture those moments too.
If you are looking for a glam duo for your wedding morning I could not recommend Beatrice and Jordyn more. They created the most insance bridesmaid and bridal looks, they looked so glam and gorgeous! Those updos are incredible! I also loved the bridesmaid’s dress and gloves combination, how insane?! It really stood out to me amongst all of the other weddings I’d photographed.
Steph looked sensational, that dress! The lace sleeves were so romantic, and removable! I loved capturing the little details she had chosen to make her the beautiful bride she was.
