Going back to Weddings after the past 18 months was a little nerve-wracking for me. It’s easy to feel out of practise and nervous to get going again after so much time off. Safe to say it was absolutely perfect and I loved every second! What a Wedding to come back to.

Danielle and Ben have come to feel like friends to me since I met them, so going in to their Wedding felt so easy and I was really excited to photograph their day. They had to postpone their Wedding last year and this year they decided to go ahead with their June date regardless of what restrictions were in place. I loved that, it showed me that the most important thing to them was getting married. As it should be ❤️

Danielle and Ben married at the stunning Matfen Hall. What a venue! One of the most grand places I have ever been. The bedrooms were tall and full of lovely window light. The gardens were perfectly designed and bursting with summer flowers. The views from the patio were breathtaking, it felt like you were tucked away from everything. It really is a place built with a Wedding in mind.

The Wedding party was still small due to restrictions, but they fitted perfectly in to the great hall where Danielle and Ben married. Danielle descended down the grand staircase which wraps around the grand hall with her dad and bridesmaids and wowed us all, what an entrance. I don’t think there was a dry in the room, including me. Their ceremony felt so intimate and full, if that makes sense. Finally, they were getting married, and everyone was bursting with love for them.

The rest of the day was filled with drinks and garden games outside, heart-felt speeches, beautiful food and lots of laughter. Thank you Danielle and Ben for choosing me to photograph your Wedding, I truly had the best time and it was an honour to capture your day ❤️
