Why I Love Being a North East Wedding Photographer

Quite frankly, there’s no place like it!

From stretches of coastline, to a buzzing city landscape, to peaceful rolling countryside, we truly have it all. And there is an abundance of venues in all of these areas. To be a part of the wedding industry here is such an honour!

Not to mention the array of weather we experience throughout the seasons. Yes, the north east is renowned for it’s cold coastal wind and often grey conditions, but this is part of being up north. All weather looks great on camera, you just have to lean into it. There is always a way to get creative and a way to document the day beautifully.

As a relaxed wedding photographer I also feel that the overarching pace and atmosphere of weddings here in the north east is calm and relaxed. This suits me to the ground, and I have a wonderful customer base to work with. You Geordies are so friendly, fun and easy-going!

• Healey Barn

• Woodhill Hall

These venues all have something different to offer, but they work with the surrounding areas so well. You’ve got fun city vibes at Wylam Brewery, a cosy barn ambience at Healey Barn, and a quiet luxury feeling with Woodhill Hall.
