Doxford Hall Wedding Venue in Northumberland
Beth and Joe got in touch when they were planning their wedding day at Doxford Hall Hotel. They were having both their ceremony and reception there, and were looking for a few hours of photography to cover some morning prep, the ceremony itself and their drinks reception. They opted for my half day package which covered these things perfectly!
Doxford Hall is a wonderful choice of venue. It’s remote and has that grand country house feel to it, with beautiful Georgian interiors. There is so much space to play with both indoors and outdoors, regardless of teh weather you can find a beautiful spot for photos.
The girls got ready in a hotel room and the boys got ready in the library room. I was able to pop down to see Joe and the Grooms men whilst Beth was having her hair done, and we got some great photos of them utilising the library backdrop. And look at that incredible window light!
Beth looked gorgeous as she made her way down the incredible staircase at Doxford Hall. A moment full of anticipation for what’s to come!
The ceremony was beautiful and we then headed out for some portraits and group shots. It was November, but it was still mild and the low light was lovely to work with later in the day. And the Autumn colours were still there to create a gorgeous backdrop.
Beth was pregnant and they planned to announce the gender of the baby in the Groom’s speech later that day. How exciting, and what a great time to tell everyone! It was very emotional and lots of hugs and congratulations were shared. Photographing that moment was incredibly rewarding!
Another beautiful day which I feel very privileged to capture.
