A Modern Newcastle City Wedding Day at Newcastle Civic Centre and Full Circle Brewery

If you’re a lover of relaxed brides and fun venues then this is one you’ll enjoy!

Beth & Carter came to me with their wedding plans and ideas and I was so excited at the prospect of being their photographer. They explained they were super relaxed and were planning an intimate wedding day with just close family and friends, and a fun party where wider friends would join them to celebrate. The venues of choice were Newcastle Civic Centre, and Full Circle Brewery. Two of my faves!

Beth is a simple, no-fuss kind of girl (basically, me!) and we hit it off straight away. She stuck to her guns and picked a look which felt comfortable and reflected her personality. She looked so clean and fresh, and her dress was a minimalist’s dream! Paired with her slick bun, long veil and pearl details she looked efortlessly chic. I was obsessed! Hair and makeup all done at home by herself or with family' help. Proof that you can do things exactly how you want. Carter certainly looked the part too, and together they were gorgeous!

We all made our way to Newcastle Civic Centre for the intimate ceremony in The Leazes Room. I love this place and the room feels so elegant, it matched their understated vibe perfectly.

Of course, we headed outside for confetti and groups in my favourite spot, and then we spent about 20 minutes getting some photos of Beth and Carter at The Civic Centre. We all know by now I adore the photo opportunities here. I even tried out a new spot on the sofas upstairs! Adore.

Then we headed up the road to Full Circle Brewery in Hoults Yard. A very, very cool venue where guests can tour the working brewery, and you can overlook it whilst you eat and party with your guests. Some would arrive here and wonder how a wedding reception could work here. And it’s definitely not for everyone, but the unique aspects of this place make for a very interesting wedding gallery! And a formal venue just wouldn’t suit Beth and Carter.

Drinks were served downstairs in the snug and brewery tours whisked guests around the brewery, if that’s not a fun activity for your guests I don’t know what it! We then headed up to the taproom itself for speeches and food. This room is so impressive with it’s view overlooking the brewery and the industrial vibe it has to offer. It doesn’t feel stuffy or intense, it’s relaxed and feels bright. I love it!

You even get to go for photos in the brewery itself, how mega is that! So that’s exactly what we did after food. Full tummies and a few drinks later, Beth and Carter were more relaxed and the vibe of these evening photos was more fun. I love being able to do this at full wedding days. Before it got dark we went for a quick walk outside to get the amazing venue in the back of their photos, then it was time to head inside for a party!

The cake was cut, pizza was served and the dance floor was full! What a brilliant day!
