Photographing a Wedding at Hardwick Hall Hotel
I hadn’t been to this venue prior to Isabella and Chris’ wedding day, but upon our venue visit together I could tell that it would be a really beautiful area for an outdoor wedding. The setting was gorgeous with the view over the lake and the country house to one side. All we needed was a dry day!
The Tuscan Alcove had a real European feel to it and when the sun came out you could be abroad. The seats were adorned with colourful chiffon which danced in the wind, and handmade floral displays by mum. This continued into The Lakeside Marquee for their reception, where more DIY details were waiting. It was a true reflection of them.
Isabella looked a vision. When she walked down the aisle everyone couldn’t keep their eyes off her. I haven’t had a Bride with a dress like this before, the way it shimmered in the sunlight was like low summer sun twinkling on the ocean. What a gorgeous Bride!
After confetti guests moved between lawn games and drinks on both the lawn and in the hotel whilst we got the formal photos done. Then it was time for the reception!
Isabella and Chris walked in to local hero whilst guests waved their black and white flags around! It’s always fun to get the guests involved here and makes great photos. We heard speeches and then food was served.
Later in the evening we had the most insane sunset, and thankfully Isabella & Chris were game for coming out for some more photos. These are some of my favourite images from 2025, they just look so magical! Then they danced the night away!
If you’re looking for a venue which has beautiful outdoor space then Hardwick Hall Hotel is a great shout. But if it does rain there are plenty of options inside too.
