Photographing a small Wedding at The Story, Durham.
Freya and Matthew approached me to photograph their very small and intimate ceremony at The Story, Durham. They wanted some photos of their guests arriving, the ceremony itself and some group shots afterwards.
I always have a great time photographing these smaller weddings, there’s something about them that feels extra special. There isn’t the pressure of a busy schedule and endless guests to greet, just you and your close family soaking up the precious moment.
The Story in Durham is a gorgeous venue which looks so grand from the outside. It’s modern and clean, but holds a lot of history. There is a choice of two rooms, and a beautiful staircase and exit door to use for photos, as well as a huge amount of outdoor space for your couple photos. If you get a sunny day like Freya and Matthew did, then you’re in for a treat!
After spending some time in the grounds getting their photos, Freya and Matthew headed to the pub to meet more of their friends and family to eat and drink for the rest of the day. Sounds pretty ideal if you ask me!
